The kindergarners had a great time at the very first kinder olympics. Three students were chosen from each group to compete in the following three events: Jungle gym, potato sack race and balance beam. The events started off with the opening ceremonies and ended with awards. It was a grand event thanks to our wonderful kindergarten monitors! See pictures below.
Ben led the way with the torch with students playing drums and waving flags followed behind.
The spectators ate popcorn while they cheered for their classmates.
The balance beam winners recieve their medals and pose for a picture with their beloved monitors.
These boys are fast. They won their medals by running through the jungle gym course in a matter of seconds.
The kindergartners had a great time with their teddy bears. Our teddy bears took a spelling test with us and learned in centers with us. We compared our teddy bears and wrote stories about them. The best part of the day was eating gummy bears and teddy grams at our teddy bear picnic.
Our wonderful Kindergarten monitors created this thankful tree with the students. Each student traced their hand, cut it out and placed it on the tree with their name on it. This week talk to your students about what they are thankful for.
